A suspect who was on the run from law enforcement Friday night took to “Facebook Live” as he led a soldier with the Georgia State Patrol, Evans County MPs and other authorities in a chase at high speed and fired shots from his moving vehicle.

The driver reportedly refused to stop at a security checkpoint on highways 129 and 169 in Evans County. He drove south on Highway 301 at over 110 mph before reaching the city limits of Claxton. The chase continued at around 90 mph, according to the Georgia State Patrol, and eventually ended in Hagan.

The video was posted from the ‘Scrapboyz Fukyofeelings RJ’ Facebook account and is approximately one hour and forty-seven minutes long, although the crux of the video content is in the first few minutes.

The video begins with the driver speaking to the audience on Facebook as blue lights appear behind him. The man says he didn’t do anything but “don’t come out like that”. Throughout the audio, the seat belt indicator and the sound of the tires hitting the rough strip can be heard.

At 1:10 am, the driver’s tone changes and he says, “I said that was how I was going to get out. Just after 2:50 am, the sirens are activated behind the vehicle as a lot of commotion is heard inside the suspect’s vehicle. At 3.20 am, several sirens are heard, the tires squeal and the vehicle accelerates considerably.

At 7.40 am, the driver can be heard firing his own firearm five times. At 8:40 am, three more shots were fired and the vehicle driven by the suspect made sounds consistent with an accident. The vehicle door then opens and more gunshots can be heard before several shots are fired by law enforcement. At this point, it becomes difficult to know where all the shots are coming from, but at least three sirens can be heard outside the vehicle. The phone is still inside the vehicle of the car.

On Saturday afternoon, Facebook had placed a disclaimer regarding “sensitive content” on the video but had not removed it. Evans County Sheriff Mac Edwards confirmed Friday night that the prosecution has ended in Evans County and that the Georgia Bureau of Investigation is investigating. No additional information has been released.

No law enforcement officer was seriously injured during the pursuit.

This story is unrelated to the incident in Alamo, Georgia, early Saturday morning, in which Damien Anthony Ferguson allegedly shot Alamo police officer Dylan Harrison.
