Denim on the Diamond is back for its third year

The event many locals have been waiting for is back and bigger than ever, with extra space to dance hard.

Denim on the Diamond is up to the task and presenting their A-Game this year, as a ton of Canadian artists are lined up and ready to take the stage tonight in Kelowna.

With country musicians, alternative rock, singer-songwriter, there is virtually something for everyone. Not to mention the variety of food trucks, games, and local vendors to visit while you’re in the stadium.

“Originally, the name denim had to be of all genders, all generations, all genders. You know, whatever kind of music you listen to, people wear denim, ”said Kurt Jory, Denim on the Diamond Organizer. “This year it’s good to have a little more variety of music, something for everyone here.”

After having to cancel last year’s festivities due to the pandemic, people were lining up and eager to come home dressed in their best denim outfits.

<p dir=Weeks of planning were spent on the event as COVID-19 restrictions made it difficult to navigate if the festival continued, but after Interior Health updated the region’s health ordinances, the event was a appointment for double vaccinated people.

<p dir=“I would also like to warmly thank those who are doubly vaccinated and who can attend this event. I think they are doing the right thing and taking care of themselves, their loved ones, our community. By doing the right thing, they can attend an event like this, ”Basran said.
