Ben Roethlisberger silences enemies with a 50-yard pass (video)

In the first quarter against the Denver Broncos, Ben Roethlisberger joined Diontae Johnson for a nice score of 60 yards.

This is how you start a game in style. For Ben Roethlisberger, it’s no secret that he’s struggled this year leading the Pittsburgh Steelers offense. So in fact, people called on him to sit on the bench left and right.

Well, those calls surely got quieter, as Roethlisberger teamed up with Diontae Johnson for that sweet 50-yard touchdown early on against the Denver Broncos. The people of Heinz Field were excited to see him.

Ben Roethlisberger could silence enemies with win over Denver in week 5

It was a great ball from Roethlisberger and Johnson did the rest thanks to his exceptional speed. The Steelers have lost three straight games after opening the year with a big road win over the Buffalo Bills.

Since then, however, things have turned sour for the team. In Week 4, Pittsburgh traveled to Green Bay and couldn’t hang out with Aaron Rodgers and the Packers. Now the team will be hoping to end that losing streak in style and do so against the Broncos 3-1. So far, everything has been going well for Roethlisberger and Pittsburgh.

For the Steelers to return to the playoff table, they need to play much better at home as the offense finds out how to operate under new coordinator Matt Canada. Sunday’s first returns are promising.
