Abbotsford Mayor and wife read classic children’s Christmas book – Abbotsford News

If you’re looking for a little quiet time for your little ones this Christmas, the Brauns are here for you.

Mayor Henry Braun and his wife Velma were recorded reading the classic children’s book “Twas the Night Before Christmas” last year for the holidays.

The Youtube video is still available online this year, with a link on the main page of the City of Abbotsford website.

The couple sit in a festive living room, with a roaring fire and a twinkling Christmas tree as they take turns reading the story. Images of the original storybook version are also played on the screen.

As the city uploads a new video every year, they said this year, with a focus on flooding and devastation, they chose to use last year’s timeless and relaxing video. The video was originally created to thank all of the kids in Abbotsford who submitted artwork for the Mayor’s Christmas Card Contest in 2020.

Another Christmas tradition in Abbotsford is to drive to see some of the incredible light shows throughout the region. Each year, Abbotsford News publishes a list of important addresses. See the link below.
